About Us

Take a step back in time...

It's time for you to contribute your own chapter to the story of Golden Magnolia Marine Resort. Originally known as the Riley Peck property, this resort is situated just across the street from Halifax Harbor Marina in the Historic District of South Beach Street, Daytona Beach, Florida.

This beautiful resort stands on land with a rich history, once belonging to an orange grove plantation and sugar mill owned by Samuel Williams back in the 1790s. After the Civil War, Northern pioneers were drawn to this area, attracted by the ocean and the convenient riverfront access through Ponce Inlet. One such pioneer was Matthias Day from Mansfield, Ohio. He arrived in 1871 and purchased 2,145 acres of the former Samuel Williams sugar plantation, ultimately founding the town of Daytona.

Within the Golden Magnolia Marine Resort, you'll find two charming Victorian wooden structures constructed by the Peck brothers. These two grand, white-framed houses are connected by a breezeway and hold a special place in the National Historical Society.

The area surrounding Golden Magnolia Marine Resort is steeped in history, and we take great pride in being a part of this rich tapestry. Now, it's your opportunity to become a part of this story and make your own mark in this remarkable place.
